Rossy Russo, known by her friends as Roze, was born in the Dominican Republic. Roze supports #TeamJamii as a lead interpreter, multilingual consultant, curriculum developer, and a Spanish teacher for adults. She has a passion for language justice, which started when she migrated to the USA with her mother at 11 years old. Her mother didn’t speak English, and Roze wanted to help with the things she needed. That is how she started her interpreter journey without knowing.

Roze has more than 15 years experience as a consecutive and simultaneous interpreter. She has a certification in medical interpreting and experience in legal interpreting. She also worked in the financial industry for more than 10 years in various positions in the branch (teller,service manager, branch manager and was part of the L&P team training new talent).

During her time in the financial industry, she discovered she could continue her language justice journey and help her community doing financial education for kids, teens and adults in Spanish.

When she is not interpreting, she is homeschooling her kids or teaching zumba classes to kids and adults with her family.
